Education that strengthens our community

Welcome to Barrington Hill Academy Co-op. Our program was created to provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences rooted in agriculture, leadership, creativity, responsibility, and community. We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to explore their interests, and given opportunities to build confidence through real world experiences.

Core program areas

Our programs evolve with educational needs. These focus areas reflect the ways we aim to serve students, horses, and families through practical support and meaningful experiences.

Agriculture & Animal Science

At Barrington Hill Academy, students gain hands on experience in agriculture, animal husbandry, gardening, and farm based learning. Through meaningful interactions with animals and nature, students develop responsibility, leadership, problem solving skills, and an appreciation for agriculture while learning practical skills they can carry with them throughout life.

Equestrian Education

Barrington Hill Academy provides students with opportunities to learn horsemanship, riding skills, horse care, safety, sportsmanship, and equestrian leadership. From beginner riders to competitive team members, students build confidence, discipline, perseverance, and communication skills both in and out of the saddle through engaging equestrian experiences.

Life Skills, Leadership & Entrepreneurship

Barrington Hill Academy is committed to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. Through courses focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, financial literacy, personal responsibility, and real world problem solving, students develop the confidence, character, and practical life skills needed to become capable and successful young adults.
